A scholarship is the money a student receives to lower the tuition costs of playing sports and studying in America. Students who are good at school or sports can get this money. American universities have money to give away as scholarships to good students. There are two types of scholarships: for sports (Athletic) and for school (Academic). The sports coaches give the athletic scholarships, and the university decides how many academic scholarships to give.
