Daan Snellink leaves for Houston Baptist University

KingsTalent is excited to announce that Daan Snellink will play for the men’s soccer team of Houston Baptist University next season. Daan will leave at the start of August, just before his 19th birthday, to Houston, Texas. There he will continue his current study.

Houston, compared to his current town Leusden, is a huge city with around two million people. There’s no way Daan will get bored in Houston, home to the Houston Rockets, Astrox, Texans and Houston Dynamo.

Earlier this week Daan put pen to paper and signed his deal, which underlines his talent and sets him up for a great challenge. Part of this challenge will be flying to multiple cities for away games, including California, Las Vegas, San Antonio, Grand Canyon and Seattle. Houston Baptist University plays at the highest college level in the United States.

Daan started his soccer career at Roda’46. Besides a short period at IJsselmeervogels Daan spends his entire time as a youth player at Roda’46. At this moment Daan plays for the U19-side, fighting for the top spots in the ‘2e divisie’. Also Daan has been rewarded with his debut for the first team after impressing the Head Coach. He also impressed us at KingsTalent’s annual showcase.

We will closely monitor Daan’s adventure in America and of course we would like to wish him good luck at Houston Baptist University!
